The Absurdist Pipe Band are delighted to have been invited to play at Glasgow Community Chanukah Celebration.

Community Chanucah Celebration at Calderwood Lodge Primary School

Torch-lit parade starts from Maccabi at 3:30pm, and travels down to Calderwood.

Then community celebration at Calderwood Lodge from 4-6pm

The Absurdist Pipe Band are delighted to have been invited back to Ireland to play at the world famous Galway Oyster Festival on Saturday 26th September 2015.

The Galway International Oyster Festival is a food festival held annually in Galway on the west coast of Ireland on the last weekend of September, the first month of the oyster season. Inaugurated in 1954, it was the brainchild of the Great Southern Hotel (now Hotel Meyrick) manager, Brian Collins. In 2000 was described by the Sunday Times as “one of the 12 greatest shows on earth” and was listed in the 1987 AA Travel Guide one of Europe’s Seven Best Festivals.

Version 2The Absurdist Pipe Band are delighted to have been invited back to Ireland so soon after our recent successful visits to Armagh, Drogheda, Waterford, West Clare and Cork. This time we will be playing at the world famous Rose of Tralee International Festival on Sunday 16th August 2015.

The Rose of Tralee International Festival is one of Ireland’s largest and longest running festivals, celebrating 56 years in 2015. The heart of the festival is the selection of the Rose of Tralee which brings young women of Irish descent from around the world to County Kerry, Ireland for a global celebration of Irish culture. The festival also includes street entertainment, carnival, live concerts, theatre, circus, markets, funfair, fireworks and Rose Parades.
