The Absurdist Pipe Band will be bringing their entertaining mixture of street music, silly costumes and general tomfoolery to Ireland again with a welcome return to Armagh. We will be playing at the Armagh St Patrick’s Day Carnival Procession on Thursday 17th March 2016.

The Absurdist Pipe Band play at Carnival in Ptuj, Slovenia
Boffo and Giblet will be returning to the wonderful town of Ptuj in Slovenia to play at Kurentovanje, the most famous of Slovenia’s pre-lenten carnivals. They will be found in the streets, in the carnival parade, at concerts, in the main carnival tent and mostly in Hotel Mitra.

The Absurdist Pipe Band are delighted to have been invited to play at Glasgow Community Chanukah Celebration.
Community Chanucah Celebration at Calderwood Lodge Primary School
Torch-lit parade starts from Maccabi at 3:30pm, and travels down to Calderwood.
Then community celebration at Calderwood Lodge from 4-6pm
The Absurdist Pipe Band play at The Galway Oyster Festival

The Absurdist Pipe Band are delighted to have been invited back to Ireland to play at the world famous Galway Oyster Festival on Saturday 26th September 2015.
The Galway International Oyster Festival is a food festival held annually in Galway on the west coast of Ireland on the last weekend of September, the first month of the oyster season. Inaugurated in 1954, it was the brainchild of the Great Southern Hotel (now Hotel Meyrick) manager, Brian Collins. In 2000 was described by the Sunday Times as “one of the 12 greatest shows on earth” and was listed in the 1987 AA Travel Guide one of Europe’s Seven Best Festivals.

The Absurdist Pipe Band will be bringing their entertaining mixture of street music, silly costumes and general tomfoolery to Buchanan Street, Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday 22rd November 2015 as part of the Glasgow Style Mile Christmas Carnival. The carnival takes place between 12pm and 4pm

The Absurdist Pipe Band play at Perth Xmas Lights
The Absurdist Pipe Band will be bringing their entertaining mixture of street music, silly costumes and general tomfoolery to Perth, Perthshire, Scotland on Saturday 21st November 2015 to help celebrate the switching on of the Christmas lights. We’ll be around the town from around midday and the lights will be switched on around 6pm

The Absurdist Pipe Band are delighted to have been invited back to Ireland so soon after our recent successful visits to Armagh, Drogheda, Waterford, West Clare and Cork. This time we will be playing at the world famous Rose of Tralee International Festival on Sunday 16th August 2015.
The Rose of Tralee International Festival is one of Ireland’s largest and longest running festivals, celebrating 56 years in 2015. The heart of the festival is the selection of the Rose of Tralee which brings young women of Irish descent from around the world to County Kerry, Ireland for a global celebration of Irish culture. The festival also includes street entertainment, carnival, live concerts, theatre, circus, markets, funfair, fireworks and Rose Parades.
