The Absurdist Pipe Band will be bringing their entertaining mixture of street music, silly costumes and general tomfoolery to Perth, Perthshire, Scotland on Saturday 25th January 2020 to help celebrate Robert Burns night. We’ll be playing in the parade from 5pm and then in the Riverside Lights garden event.

We’ll be around the town from around midday and the lights will be switched on around 6pm

The Absurdist Pipe Band are delighted to have been invited back to Ireland to play at the world famous Galway Oyster Festival on Saturday 28th September 2019.
The Galway International Oyster Festival is a food festival held annually in Galway on the west coast of Ireland on the last weekend of September, the first month of the oyster season. Inaugurated in 1954, it was the brainchild of the Great Southern Hotel (now Hotel Meyrick) manager, Brian Collins. In 2000 was described by the Sunday Times as “one of the 12 greatest shows on earth” and was listed in the 1987 AA Travel Guide one of Europe’s Seven Best Festivals.
