chookThe Absurdist Pipe Band will be bringing their entertaining mixture of street music, silly costumes and general tomfoolery to the Commonwealth Games’ Queen’s Baton Relay on its journey through Argyll on Sunday 13th July 2014.

The baton will be travelling from Appin to Dunoon and we will be performing on the streets when is in Oban, Inveraray and Dunoon.

chookThe Absurdist Pipe Band will be bringing their entertaining mixture of street music, silly costumes and general tomfoolery to The Mummers Gathering in Edinburgh on Sunday 4th May 2014.

The Mummers Gathering is part of 2014 TradFest. May Mummers celebrate the fresh outdoor life of Spring and Summer in a variety of costumes and garlands from Robin Hood to Galoshins, woodland creatures to zany contemporary masques. Gather in the Meadows by the trees at the north end of Middle Meadow Walk at 1.30pm to go and enjoy performances in Bristo Square by the Prestonpans Mummers, Family Beltane, the Armagh Rhymers, Mons Meg Rappers and many more. Families welcome in your own costumes.

The Absurdist Pipe Band will be bringing their entertaining mixture of street music, silly costumes and general tomfoolery to The Danny MacAskill Family Ride at the The Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow on Sunday 1st Spetember 2013 at 11am.

Taking place the weekend before the main freshnlo Pedal for Scotland Glasgow to Edinburgh event, visitors and participants at the Danny MacAskill freshnlo Pedal for Scotland Glasgow Family Ride will enjoy a range of cycling-based activities and demonstrations, including a unique opportunity to see the legendary Danny MacAskill join his former stunt cycling crew, The Clan, for a one-off show.

The Absurdist Pipe Band will be bringing their entertaining mixture of street music, silly costumes and general tomfoolery to Tollcross Children’s Zoo in Glasgow for their annual open day. This is our third year in a row playing at the farm open day and are very happy to be asked back. I’m not quite sure what the animals think of us however 🙂

The Absurdist Pipe Band will be playing at The Red Road Flats in Glasgow on Saturday 18th May 2013 to help celebrate and mark the end of a colourful part of Glasgow’s history. You can read more about the event here.
